Will your students remember la palabra del día from every Bablingua21 program?
We really hope so!
Here’s how we help students remember vocabulary more effectively:

  • Context and Connection:
To make words stick, it’s essential to connect vocabulary to context and emotions.
That’s exactly what we do in our episodes.
At the end of each video, we ask questions that connect new words to students’ lives, opinions, and feelings—encouraging meaningful engagement with each term.

  • Meaningful Repetition:
Learning a word usually takes more than just hearing it once.
That’s why every two weeks we revisit recent news with a review episode.

We also have a new interactive way for students to engage with the vocabulary: a fun game called ¿Qué palabra es?

How ¿Qué palabra es? Works:

Each ¿Qué palabra es? video starts by explaining the featured word and offering four choices.
After a brief pause to give students a chance to guess, the correct answer is revealed, along with a reminder of why this word was originally selected as la palabra del día.
There’s also a link to the original Bablingua21 episode where the word was first introduced, so you can easily revisit it.

We’ll post fresh ¿Qué palabra es? videos every week, so make sure to stay tuned!

Inspire your students

Once your students get comfortable with the format, encourage them to create their own versions of the game!
Let them select words they’re learning in class or from Bablingua21, then play the game with their classmates to reinforce vocabulary together.
